A shoot inspired by Wong Kar-wei's 2000s classic, In the Mood for Love with undertones of Phoebe Waller-bridges' Fleabag series, this shoot is a love story. The truth of most of our love stories is that despite outward appearances, love comes with many obstacles, especially when it is one-sided. The female model is battling with her one-sided love for a man who cannot give himself to her despite his best efforts. The fall colors encapsulate the death of their love. We were sure to capture their photos as a couple that feel like still portraits to give this air of performance to the camera. As the shoot progresses, you see breakdowns in demeanor and shedding of layers as they both lay exposed to the truth that their love is ending.
